Excellent vapor resistance
V-Gard provides an excellent vapor barrier, with a vapor resistance value expressed by an Sd (equivalent air layer thickness) of >1,500 m. It is therefore suitable for most roofs.
Resistant to foot traffic
The engineered composition of V-Gard provides high resistance to static loading and dynamic impact. Its strong physical properties make it suitable for direct application onto metal decks, limiting the risk of tears caused by foot traffic.
Cold installation - safe and easy to install
The installation of V-Gard is part of a single-ply concept: it is a 100% cold and user-friendly process that does not require open flame. V-Gard can be adhered using primer to most substrates such as concrete, plywood, OSB and metal decks. The use of primer is not required on metal decks, unless otherwise specified by local regulations. V-Gard's 1.08 m width allows for the seam overlap to be located on the top flute of most metal decks. This allows an easy application, including effective rolling. The release liner can be removed easily and installation can be done by a two-men crew.
Preprinted overlap marking
The overlap marking printed on both sides of the V-Gard membrane further facilitates installation.
Efficient air barrier
V-Gard can be adhered to almost any substrate, even brick walls, minimizing air leaks and contributing to the overall energy efficiency of the building.
Excellent substrate for attaching insulation with PU adhesive
The treated surface of V-Gard is ideal for the adhesion of insulation boards when mechanical fastening to the deck is not an option.
Outstanding adhesion
V-Gard achieves excellent wind uplift performance on different roof substrates.
One-source supplier
The use of V-Gard ensures a compatible design and high quality performance where all roofing components are supplied and warranted by one manufacturer.
Minimal packaging
Each roll of V-Gard comes in a belly band wrap, which minimizes waste. V-Gard is available in standard and FR grade. Contact us for the complete list of approved substrates or for additional technical information.
