Toyota Motor Company pays much attention to the sustainability of its buildings. The company was looking for a complete and high performing roofing system to waterproof the 11,000 m² roof of its new manufacturing site in Malaysia. The sustainable solution also had to meet tight deadlines and be easy to install.

Elevate’s 1.8 mm thick grey UltraPly TPO membrane was chosen as roofing system, attached over Elevate ISO 95+ GL polyisocyanurate (PIR) insulation boards. Elevate’s InvisiWeld induction welding system was used to attach the membrane, providing an aesthetic finish.
"There were several reasons for choosing Elevate’s UltraPly TPO roofing system" commented Designer John Ngooi of Nexus Idea Consultancy Sdn Bhd. "One of them was that it offers superior airtight, waterproof features and provides a 20-year system warranty after installation. Besides that, Elevate’s ISO 95+ GL insulation boards provide a very low U-value, which helps to reduce the energy consumption of the factory."
